Advantages:
- no batteries, no electronics - completely resisitent to nuclear elecromagnetic pulses
Disadvantages:
- insensitive to low velocities (this model: < 10 cm/s)
- restricted immersion depth (this model: 60 cm)

- collectors of ancient hydrometric devices
