Parameter to be measured:
Electric conductivity (EC) (Salinity)
Method:
handheld EC meter
Equipment:
base unit, probe with cable (, optional: protective rubber sheat)
Advantages:
- storage for 5000 records (automatic) and 200 (manual)
- intuitive menu system (opposed to cryptic key combinations of Electric conductivity - WTW cond340i
- backlit display
- USB-connection
- probe of cond 340i can still be used
- still works with Multipilot software
Disadvantages:
- protection rubber doesn't cover USB jack
- awkward and poorly documented software installation
- no native USB-device - USB-serial driver must be installed
- data download is still clumsy and prone to failure, must be invoked from the device
- rubber sheat no longer holds sensor
What to watch out for:
If problems occure with the data read-out of stored data:
- If you are using the MultiLabImporter in Excel: Press "Enter" directly after you clicked on the "read-out-button" in Excel
