Purpose:
The climate is the driver for hydorlogical systems. A typical climate station measures the following parameters:
Air temperature
Radiation
Can be distinguished into incoming radiation and reflected radiation, the difference beeing the net radiation
For each type, the part of the electromagnetic spectrum can be further distinguished (VIS, NIR and/or FIR)
For a hydrological climate station the net radiation (VIS and the IR) is important (For calcultaion of the evapotranspiration).
